The Nongpoh Town Committee (NTC), through its chairman SF Lyngdoh and secretary Rayonald Kharkamni, has expressed special gratitude to the state government for bringing several development projects to Nongpoh town through the Urban Affairs Department.
They acknowledged that Nongpoh, the district headquarters of Ri-Bhoi, has long required various development initiatives and many such projects have been implemented in recent years.
In 2023–2024 the NTC received Rs 1.45 crore for development work in 11 localities. For 2024–2025 over Rs 6 crore has been allocated for further projects.
The NTC thanked the Chief Minister, the Urban Affairs Minister and the relevant government departments for their continued support in improving and beautifying Nongpoh.
