Aimed at maintaining road safety, the traffic police in Nongpoh carried out an intensive inspection of two-wheelers to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
The campaign, held on Sunday at various checkpoints in Nongpoh, aimed at raising awareness among riders about the importance of adhering to traffic laws for their safety and the safety of others on the road.
During the checks, officers focused on the use of helmets, valid driving licences, vehicle paperwork and adherence to speed limits.
As informed by Rubul Ali, the traffic in-charge of Nongpoh police station, such checking is part of an ongoing effort to minimise road accidents and promote responsible driving behaviour.
