To discuss the problems and hardships of the residents of various villages on the Mawrong road of Mawhati constituency, local MLA Charles Marngar convened a special meeting with village leaders at Rtiang yesterday.
The main agenda was the dilapidated road from Rtiang village to Nongsangu village, at a distance of 25km. This road is in poor condition and has negatively affected locals.
Representatives of 15 villages under Mawrong road and five villages from Mawtari Thaiang also attended the meeting to discuss the poor condition of the road and they took the decision along with the MLA to raise this matter with the state government.
Following the meeting, village leaders and Marngar also conducted an inspection of the road on its most damaged sections.
