Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar inspected the construction of the 22 km Ummulong-Tyrshang–Bamkamar in West Jaintia Hills district yesterday.
The construction of this road started in 2022 and it is expected to be completed by 2025.
The road is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 42 and during the inspection Dhar was informed that 90 per cent of the works have been completed.
During the inspection, Dhar urged the officers of the Public Works Department to follow up on the construction of the road for the benefit of the public.
