A Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Lumshnong of East Jaintia Hills is reeling in darkness for the past two months.
The non-availability of electricity has also hit the patient care in the centre.
Medical Officer Dr Ngaidlang Phyllei said the power transformer experienced a technical snag causing blackout in the centre since April.
He said no child delivery has been performed since then and X-ray facility, ultrasound machine and other facilities have come to grinding halt.
Dr Phyllei said the MeECL in the district has been informed and is yet to take action.
The Lumshnong PHC not only caters to the rural villages in Narpuh area but emergency care in accident cases since it is located along the national highway 6.
