The 67th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised an event under its civic action programme at Netaji Pathagar, Rilbong, Shillong.
The event marked the restoration of the ceiling of the library which had suffered significant damage in past years. The unit repaired and renovated the damaged ceiling, so that the valuable resources of the library are restored. Alok Bhattacharya, Commandant of the 67th Battalion CRPF, while dedicating the repaired library to the people, emphasised that the battalion is always focused in serving the people of Meghalaya.
He reiterated that the restored library will serve the local residents in pursuing their literary and cultural activities in the times to come. TK Bhattacharya, member secretary, thanked the CRPF for helping in the restoration of the library, adding that it has been a heritage institution of the city for almost 80 years.
