A suspected drug peddler was arrested and 217.19 grams of heroin was seized by the East Khasi Hills Anti Narcotic Task Force today.
The person was arrested from Lyngkieng and the team seized 16 soap boxes containing the drug inside one blue and one red bag, cash Rs 3,31,590, one mobile phone and a scooty Yamaha with registration number ML05Q 8300.
A case is being registered at Laitumkhrah police station, police said.
