There were five new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with seven recoveries and one fatality.
The lone death was recorded in Ri-Bhoi, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills accounted for one new case, South West Garo Hills one and West Garo Hills three.

There are now 46 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills one, East Jaintia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills 14, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi seven, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills two, South West Khasi Hills three, West Garo Hills 17, West Jaintia Hills one and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,613 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,945 have recovered and 1,622 have died from the virus. There are eight patients being treated in hospital with the disease – five in East Khasi Hills, two in Ri-Bhoi and one in West Garo Hills.
