The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited today announced load shedding from April 30 in the city and its suburbs.
The load shedding is due to low water levels at the hyrdro-electric reservoirs of the State, a notice from the office said.
As per the notice, load shedding will continue from April 30 until further notice.
From 10 am to 11 am, areas to be affected are whole of Mawlai, Jaiaw, Riatsamthiah,Wahingdoh, Umsohsun, municipal market Laitumkhrah, Lummawrie, Nongrimbah, Veronica lane, whole of Nongrim Hills except Lower Nongrim Hills. Bethany Hospital, Nongthymmai Nongshiliang, Lumsohphoh, BM Tower, Parts of Fire Brigade and its adjoining areas, Jingkieng Nongthymmai Area, Lumpyngngad, Lumdiengsoh, Pollution Control Board, Lumkut, ISPW, AG Quarters and its adjoining areas. Upper Nongthymmai, Lawjynriew, Rngijynriew, IIM, Demthring, Madanrting, Parts of Mawblei, part of Dum Dum. Woodland Hospital, Dhankheti, Kharmalki, Malki Wahkdait.
