The United Democratic Party (UDP) in South West Khasi Hills district today inaugurated its new office building in Mawkyrwat.
UDP district president, Pius Marwein, cabinet minister Kyrmen Shylla and party members attended the inaugural function of the party office.
Speaking on the occasion, Marwein congratulated party workers and urged them to work hard in strengthening the party. He said the party aims to put up a candidate for the next assembly elections from Mawkyrwat.
Shylla stressed on patience to achieve success. He said the new office building would help party workers contribute more in working towards the betterment of the people and prepare for the next election.
Meanwhile, the party also inducted its newly appointed office bearers of Mawkyrwat circle led by Shaiñkor Nongsiej as president.
