Just 17 hospital beds reserved for Covid-19 patients in Meghalaya are now occupied, which is less than two percent of capacity.
Sixteen of the occupied beds are in East Khasi Hills; the other is in Tura (West Garo Hills).
According to government data, 17 out of 1,084 Covid beds are occupied in the state, which works out to 1.57 per cent, the lowest this figure has been since daily records were provided to the media.
No hospital has more than five Covid patients, which is a remarkable turnaround after the height of the second wave, when bed occupancy was close to 80 per cent at certain stages.
