Nokmas, Sardars, senior citizens of B Mahal area in Pedaldoba region, West Garo Hills today came out together and constituted a committee to save and protect the lands and tribal rights of citizens.
The committee called, ‘Save B Mahal’ has also approved secretaries and members with Minathson Sangma as a chairman, Dharmendra Rabha (co-chairman), Bricks Marak (secretary), Aragona Rabha (assistant secretary) and three organising secretaries, Rimjen Ch, Sangma, Winterson Marak and Norway Rabha.
The nokmas, sordars and senior citizens are up against GHADC CEM Benedic Marak alleging that he had intentions of selling off B Mahal lands from the area to the Israel Agriculture Company and plans to construct a solar park along with GPS coordination in all B Mahal areas.
