The Rongmitu/Rongrokgre Mahari Association of Tura, West Garo Hills district has expressed thankfulness for the support shown by various NGOs and organizations to the two victims of their clan who died under mysterious circumstances in the state of Haryana a few days ago.
“We are anguished over the tragic and mysterious death of Rose R. Sangma and her nephew Samuel R. Sangma the following day in Gurugram, Haryana. The circumstances in which the deaths occurred are highly suspicious and condemnable,” said the association.
The clan members said it would extend its full support to the family members of the deceased in their demand for a speedy and impartial investigation into the incident so that the truth behind may be revealed.
“The manner in which one particular doctor and staff of Alpha Hospital in Gurugram treated Rose R. Sangma leading to her untimely death and brutal physical assault meted out by none other than the doctor himself to her nephew Samuel R. Sangma as he tried to question their doubtful actionis nothing short of shocking and disgusting, deserving condemnation in strongest terms,” they added.
Condemning the negligence of the hospital in question, the Maharis stated that they held the hospital responsible for what they termed as a barbaric and inhuman act, unbecoming of the medical profession.
The clan members thanked all those who stood in support of the family and hoped a fair probe would be undertaken so that the culprits may be booked and exemplary punishment given to the guilty.
