The United Democratic Party (UDP), Mawkyrwat Circle elected Shainkorlang Nongsiej as its president.
The general meeting of the party which was held on November 12 also elected Grammingstar Mylliem, Losmander Marwein and Stephan Thongni as vice presidents, Christopher Syiemlieh and HS Lyngdoh (working presidents), KD Wanniang (general secretary) and other members besides 30 executive members.
Anvil Lyngdoh, the former party president was elected as the chief adviser.
