Shillong, Feb 12: Police in Eastern West Khasi Hills arrested three persons after the family of a youth—who went missing since February 6—lodged a complaint alleging that he was murdered.
The arrested suspects, related to the 25-year old victim, Kerang Sawkmie of Nongthymmai village, reportedly confessed to the crime.
During questioning they claimed that they murdered Sawkmie and threw his body in a river.
Today, police took the suspects to the crime scene. His body has not been recovered yet as search continues.
