Shillong, Oct 31: The Raid Laban Sports, Social and Cultural Organisation today organised its 23rd Meritorious Awards ceremony.
As many as 314 meritorious students were felicitated on the occasion. Toppers in 28 categories, including BPL students and school dropouts who excelled, were given laptops.
Commissioner and Secretary Vijay Kumar D, who attended as chief guest, urged students to work hard, aspire higher and remain optimistic.
He said that while the world is uncertain today, it also opens new opportunities for youngsters to choose their careers.
Cabinet Minister and local MLA Sanbor Shullai, parents and teachers were present.
