A 40 year old man died after a car he was driving fell off a roadside drain in Rangblang Sahsniang, South West Khasi Hills, this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Petar Sohphoh of Thadwang Pyngengrei, West Khasi Hills. He was travelling in his private car bearing registration number ML 10-7040.
The cause of the accident was unknown but police said the driver succumbed to his injuries and died at the spot. Further Inquest has been conducted and the dead body was shifted to Civil Hospital, Mawkyrwat for post mortem examination.
