Shillong, Oct 24: A one- day state level workshop on the theme, “Find Your Voice: Storytelling for Confidence and Creativity” was organised by Sankardev College yesterday.
Jemimah Marak, founder of The 100 Story House, who was the resource person, introduced students to the art and techniques of story-telling, the space held by a storyteller in society and how storytelling is a beautiful artform and approach to relate to one another and a means to openly express oneself through words and sounds using voice, gestures, facial expressions, and body movements.
The storytelling workshop offered a platform for the students to showcase their creativity through their engagement and interaction in various group and personal storytelling activities.
Participating teachers and students from various colleges were given certificates. In addition, students of Sankardev College, who had successfully completed their internship programme at The 100 Story House, were given completion certificates.
