Shillong, Oct 22: A petrol bomb was hurled at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office at Langkyrding Mihngi in the early hours of Thursday, triggering fresh concern over a spate of such attacks in the city during Puja festivities.
No injury or damage was reported.
The attack on the ED office follows similar incidents reported from Kench’s Trace, Keating Road and Laitumkhrah on Wednesday.
Police said no group has claimed responsibility and the motive behind the attacks remains unclear.
Cases have been registered and CCTV footage from the affected areas is being examined to identify those involved. No arrests have been made so far.
