The body of a woman, one Rodit Langstang, has been exhumed by the authorities after her relatives alleged that she had been murdered by her husband.
P Samaiang and Ribiang Langstang lodged a written complaint at Phramer to the effect that they strongly suspected that Rodit had been murdered by her husband, Roibiang Pakma.
Rodit’s body had been found at home on June 1 and “out of ignorance”, the family buried her body on the same day, assuming that it had been lying there for several days.
However, suspicions were raised after Pakma went missing the day the body was found.
A police case has been registered and the body exhumed as investigations continue.
