Shillong, Oct 13: The office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills has invited public, institutions and stakeholders to contribute historical photographs, documents and materials for a Historical Photo & Document Exhibition as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the district on October 28.
The exhibition will showcase 50 years of history, heritage, milestones, personalities and development journey of the district.
Materials sought include photographs, official records, publications, newspaper clippings, maps, memorabilia relating to formation and early years, institutions, educational and health facilities, roads, cultural heritage, festivals, community life and notable personalities. Photos of Nongstoiñ and other important places are also encouraged.
Materials may be submitted as originals or high-resolution digital/scanned copies. Originals will be returned after the exhibition.
