Tura MP Saleng Sangma has said that he will work together with the Voice of the People Party (VPP) Shillong MP Ricky AJ Syngkon on common issues in the interest of the state.
Sangma, who attended his felicitation programme hosted by the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) here today, told reporters that his priority in the Parliament would be to take up issues on education, health, border dispute, implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) and recognition of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule.
On the centre non-responsiveness to the demand of ILP in the state, Sangma said the matter will be taken up collectively with his party colleagues in the Parliament.
