The Central Agricultural University, (CAU), Imphal organised the 12th Research Council meeting and 8th Extension Education Council meeting from December 17 to 19 at the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam.
Ten subject matter experts from different parts of the country, deans of the 13 constituent colleges across North East states, 50 senior faculty members of CAU and 40 invited progressive farmers attended the three-day programme.
The representatives of the directorate of agriculture, directorate of horticulture, directorate of veterinary of different hill states of North East India also participated in these meetings.
Vice chancellor of CAU Imphal, Dr Anupam Mishra, vice chancellor of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Dr. P K Roul, Director ICAR Research Centre Umiam Dr V K Mishra, former vice chancellor of BCKV West Bengal Prof. M M Adhikary, Director of Instructions Dr. Basanta Singh, Director of Extension Education Prof. Ph Ranjit Sharma also attended the meetings and extended their technical expertise in formulation of research and extension activities agenda of the university in the coming years
