Sukhman Singh shot four over 74 today in the first round of IGU Shillong Junior Boys Golf Championship 2021 which is being held at Shillong Golf Course, for a one shot lead in Category A.
Sukhman Singh who hails from Uttar Pradesh used a par on the ninth hole to propel him into back nine where he played two over to open one shot lead over Delhi’s Krishnav Nikhil Chopra and Haryana native Jai Bahal.
In Category B, it was a complete deadlock at the top as Maharashtra’s Aryaman Singh and Karnataka based Mahir Rakhra shot six over 76 to share the lead with each other. For the third place in this division too, same story continues as Yuavan Khubchandani and Ved Kakatkar both from Maharashtra shared the third place following rounds of nine over 79.
Sukhman on the merit of shooting the best score today leads in A&B combined division followed by Krishnav Nikhil Chopra and Jai Bahal. Following the first round of golf, out of 36 golfers 13 have missed the cut.
