The second dao (machete) used to kill Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi was recovered by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) shortly after the crime scene recreation on Tuesday.
Earlier, the five accused have revealed to the police that two daos were used to kill Raja.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem Syiem said the first dao with an orange handle was recovered on June 2, the same day the body of Raja was recovered from a deep gorge near Weisawdong Falls at the Riat Arliang parking lot in Umblai.
The second weapon with a steel handle was thrown by the murder accused at the same spot after killing Raja.
