Shillong, Nov 5: The Shillong Science Centre (SSC) held a three-day teacher training programme on Science communication, which concluded today.
The training, held under the “Science on Wheels” initiative, wherein a mobile science unit visits schools to promote scientific awareness.
Altogether 43 teachers from Mawkynrew C&RD Block participated in the training programme.
The sessions were conducted by Retired Education Officer of the National Science Centre, Guwahati, R. Medhi who mentored participants on hands-on techniques for teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics using newspapers, plastic bottles, and other easily available materials at home.
The programme concluded with a call for continued collaboration with schools of all blocks.
