In view of the rapid rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the state and in West Garo Hills, the District Magistrate, Ram Singh, today extended the closure of all educational institutions in the district until at least May 24.
The order said that during the period of closure, all institutions shall maintain classes through online teaching.
West Garo Hills has recorded 174 new coronavirus cases in the first eight days of this month.
