The regional business office of the State Bank of India in Tura donated Rs 10 lakh to the District Maternal and Child Health Officer of West Garo Hills to purchase essential items for the Tikrikilla, Dadenggre, Pedaldoba, Selsella and Bhaitbari primary health centres.
The cheque for the amount was handed over at a simple ceremony held at the SBI regional office in Chandmari. It was presented by the SBI Tura regional manager Dharmananda Banai to the DMCHO Dr Ivonne M Sangma in the presence of other SBI officials.
