The Rotary Club of Orchid City Shillong today unveiled a newly installed road signage at the Mawlai Bypass junction, aimed at helping travelers navigate the area more easily. The signage was officially inaugurated by Sukhminder Singh, District Governor of Rotary International District 3240.
Speaking to the press, Anthony War, President of the Rotary Club of Orchid City Shillong, said the initiative was driven by the need to assist tourists and commuters who often struggle to find their way through the junction. “Many visitors are unfamiliar with this route, and this signage will provide clear directions to help them identify their destinations,” he said.
War also informed that the project was entirely funded through contributions from club members. Prior to installation, the club obtained necessary permissions from the Public Works Department (PWD) and village authorities.
