Raj Bhavan, Shillong hosted a grand celebration on the occasion of the Statehood Day of Odisha along with belated celebration of statehood day of Rajasthan, and Bihar at the Durbar Hall here today.
First Lady of Meghalaya, Babita Vijayashankar, distinguished dignitaries and other esteemed guests were in attendance.
A special video presentation showcased the diverse heritage, traditions and contributions of these three states to the nation’s progress. The cultural segment featured mesmerising performances by the Bhojpuri Samaj Shillong, Shubham Charitable Association, Chandrakanta, professor from NEHU, and Keshav Mishra from Odisha, presenting the vibrancy of their respective traditions.
The celebration also included a felicitation ceremony, acknowledging individuals and organisations contributing to cultural and social harmony.
