A new organisation called Raid Marwet Development & Social Welfare Committee was today formed by the elders of the raid with an aim to revive culture, land protection and work towards the welfare of the people within its area.
The committee which will be led by Munu Shakwa as president, and Liam Pator as general secretary was officially confirmed by the chief of the Raid Marwet.
“We are residing along the border of Meghalaya and Assam, so it the utmost responsibility of our generation to be united and to come forward to work for the good cause of the Raid Marwet”, the newly elected heads of the committee said.
