South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai today boasted that projects worth more than Rs 100 crore are being implemented in his constituency.
Never one to shy away from making sure the public knows just how much development is going on in the constituency, Shullai addressed reporters today after holding a review of the developmental schemes and projects in South Shillong.
Some of the larger projects include construction of motorable roads, link roads, drainage system, etc at a cost of Rs 48 crore. Similarly, another project for the development of a cultural complex of Seng Khasi Ri-Raid Laban is being taken up at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
According to Shullai, the construction of a municipal shopping complex is also being taken up at Iew Dak for a total cost of Rs 14 crore.
As far as the health sector is concerned, he said that a 10-bed urban primary health centre is being constructed at Lumparing at a cost of Rs 4.9 crore.
Madan Laban is also getting a synthetic football turf and other improvements that will cost Rs 6.3 crore.
