Shillong, Sep 12: The Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Shillong organised a PM Vishwakarma awareness programme at Thadlaskein C&RD Block, West Jaintia Hills on Thursday, focusing on branding and marketing of products made by PM Vishwakarma artisans.
Prabhat Kumar Singh, IEDS, Assistant Director Grade-I made a presentation on the PM Vishwakarma scheme and its components.
The programme included sessions on branding and marketing, product packaging, use of Artificial Intelligence, financial literacy, digital payments and QR-code generation, social security schemes and Udyam Registration.
Officials from Directorate of Commerce & Industries, State Bank of India, India Post Payments Bank and other stakeholders participated in a multi-departmental convergence approach. Information on government schemes, financial services and support for artisans was shared.
An Udyam registration facilitation camp was also organised and artisan success stories were shared to provide insights on enterprise development, market access and utilisation of government support.
