Police were called to a road traffic accident near the 15th Mile petrol pump in Ri-Bhoi at approximately 8:40am where they found an unidentified person who had received head injuries.
Initial inquiries revealed that the person had been riding pillion on a two-wheeler and had fallen off, with the rider fleeing the scene and abandoning the injured person, who was subsequently taken to Byrnihat Primary Health Centre for medical assessment and treatment.
