Shillong, Sep 16: Panic gripped Risa Colony on Wednesday afternoon after two petrol bombs were thrown at the Directorate of Mineral Resources office.
Police said the attack happened around 3.45 pm when staff were inside. One bomb went off at the boundary wall, the second struck a parked Maruti Alto (ML05 AC 0429) inside the premises, denting its bonnet.
No one was injured.
Laitumkhrah police reached the site and are probing the incident. The attackers remain unidentified.
