The Sohra Civil Sub-Divisional Magistrate has, under Section 144 of the CrPC, banned overloaded trucks from using the Mawmluh to Mawlong road via Mawshamok due to the damage they are causing.
Reports have been received from the Public Works Department regarding the damage caused to the said road by overloaded vehicles.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Shanborlang Warjri, has therefore prohibited vehicles above 9 tonnes from using the road. The order was issued today and will apply until further notice.
