Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma visited Amit Singhania’s building at Police Bazar Shillong, which was completely burnt down in a massive fire that broke out on Saturday.
The four storey building which had several godowns and housed the family of Singhanias was ravaged in the incident, that also claimed one life.
About 40 hours passed, fire tenders are still trying to completely douse the fire.
Chief Minister is reviewing the entire incident with Chief Secretary, DGP and other high ranking officials.
He also met with the family and expressed his concerns and acknowledged the efforts of army, police, fire service and all stakeholders who were involved in containing the situation.
