Shillong, May 11: The 10th midterm conference of the Eastern India Zonal Ophthalmological Congress (EIZOC), also known as EIZOC MIDCON 2026, was held at La Nicholas Resort, Umiam bringing together leading ophthalmologists of the country.
The two-day conference, which concluded on May 9, witnessed the participation of delegates from all the states of eastern India, including eminent faculty members, postgraduate students and representatives from leading ophthalmic industry partners.
A wide range of scientific sessions, panel discussions, paper presentations and academic competitions were conducted, highlighting recent advances and innovations in the field of ophthalmology.
The conference featured distinguished faculty from both national and regional levels, fostering academic exchange and professional collaboration among participants. Special deliberations on ‘Life Beyond Ophthalmology’ added a unique dimension to the programme, focusing on personal growth, work-life balance and holistic professional development.
