Shillong, May 11: The NCERT book fair was organised today at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment in collaboration with the Field Post Office (FPO) of 11 Brigade.
The event aimed to foster reading habits among students while providing them access to quality NCERT books at affordable prices.
Under the guidance of JCO Ashish Kumar Tiwari from FPO, 11 Brigade, a special display featuring NCERT books for classes I to VIII was set up in the library. This setup allowed students and parents to delve into a diverse range of subjects, including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.
A 15 per cent discount was offered on all NCERT books, which encouraged purchases for academic enhancement.
The event was coordinated by Krishna Nand Singh, the librarian and students played an essential role by actively participating and promoting the availability of discounted NCERT books through creative displays and informed announcements.
