A newborn male baby was found with multiple dog bite marks after being dumped at Lumkhyriem here.
Police said the body of the baby, about 2-3 days old, was found infested with ants and insects with several bites on its body yesterday.
Children of the locality had first stumbled on the baby as a dog was carrying it to a nearby bush.
A post mortem examination will be conducted at NEIGRIHMS to ascertain the actual cause of death, sources said.
