More than 50 delegates attended a continuing medical education (CME) seminar on ‘Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: A peep into the future’, which was organised by the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) under the leadership of Dr Ananya Das, Additional Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NEIGRIHMS.
The event was held in collaboration with the Shillong Obstetrics and Gynecology Society at the State Convention Centre here on Saturday.
Eminent national as well as local experts served as resource persons and shared their experiences and knowledge, a press release informed today.
The meeting was attended by over 50 delegates, including NEIGRIHMS Dean Prof Santa Singh and senior gynecologists from Shillong and Guwahati.
The guest of honour was Dr Wanswet, the retired Director of Health Services, and the chief guest was Prof Dr Nalin Mehta, the Director of NEIGRIHMS.
Dr Mehta stated that even though abnormal uterine bleeding concerns women, it consequently affects the entire family. Therefore, updating our knowledge for better care of women is very much the need of the hour, the release added.
