North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) today announced that one of its MSc students, Nituparna Das, secured first prize at the recent National Science Day celebration organised by the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment (SCSTE).
Das presented his research on ‘Self Chargeable Hydrogen Based Solid-State Cell,’ which garnered recognition and praise from the panel of judges.
In another feat, two MSc students, Pranjal Sharma and Das again, have clinched first position in the Eastern Zone Contest of the Anveshan 2023 programme. Their project titled ‘Development of Low Power Consumption Artificial Neuromorphic Devices by Using Proton as a Neurotransmitter’ stood out in the interdisciplinary research category. As a result, they have earned the opportunity to represent NEHU at the international level competition, scheduled to be held at the University of Mumbai on March 10.
The Vice-Chancellor of NEHU congratulated Das and Sharma and their supervisor Satya Prakash Pati.
