NEEPCO celebrated its 50th foundation day today at its corporate office, here and in all plants and locations.
Addressing the gathering in Shillong, NEEPCO CMD Gurdeep Singh said the celebration in all locations was to instil a sense of pride and belongingness. On the planning and execution of new projects, the CMD assured the gathering that NTPC is there in each and every step and that NEEPCO should not feel constrained or limited but to move ahead with confidence.
The CMD congratulated the employees for achieving an excellent rating in two consecutive year efforts and urged the gathering to maintain the excellent track record.
Reflecting on the hoisting of the 100-foot high-mast National Flag at the NEEPCO Complex in Laitkor the CMD called upon all employees to look at the flag with pride and feel inspired to work for progress of NEEPCO, the power sector and the nation as a whole
Awards for best performing plants were also presented during the celebrations. The first prize went to Kopili Hydro Power Station in Assam, second prize to Tuirial Hydro Power Station, Mizoram and the third prize to Doyang Hydro Power Station, Nagaland.
