The National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya launched its second edition of the Model United Nations at its campus in Shillong yesterday.
Over 200 students across various institutions from the region appeared at the two-day conference and personalities from the circuit were allotted as the Executive Board members to chair the conference of the committee.
The NITM model united nations consisted of IPC (International press corps) UNHRC (United Nations human rights council) UNSC (United Nations Security Council) and G20.
Assistant Commissioner East Khasi Hills Anendya Raajsshre was invited as the guest of honour of the conference and was complemented by the organising committee of the event.
Supriya Neigoi the Secretary General of NITM model United Nations took over the lead by recognising the presence of the esteemed delegates and the ceremony concluded as she struck the gravel on the table, declaring the conference officially opened.
