The District and Sessions Court, Jowai has sentenced a man to six months in prison for trespassing and causing hurt to a family in 2016.
The conviction was announced by the court of NA Khan on May 22 that one Silas Sten of Mukroh village was found guilty of the crime.
The case dates back to September 3, 2016 when the convict forcefully entered the house of one Shngain Niang at 10 pm and threatened him with a dagger, and later lured his wife.
The case was registered as Jowai Police Station and was investigated by WPSI J. Nongseij.
Sten was convicted under Sections 448 and 323 IPC.
