KVK West Khasi Hills organised a one day off-campus training programme on April 30 for farmers of Mairang block in Eastern West Khasi Hills on soil fertility management.
Lectures were delivered on soil introductory and acid soil management with cultivation of buckwheat crop, soil collection and testing and soil health cards. An awareness about various schemes, such as the PM Kisan scheme, subsidies on bone meal, sprayer pump, hybrid maize, hybrid paddy, polyhouse flower cultivation etc. was also delivered.
Around 60 farmers from villages within Mairang block took part.
