A landslide at Kuliang on National Highway 6 in the Narpuh area of East Jaiñtia Hills caused great inconvenience to travellers because of the extreme traffic snarl.
As per reports, the landslide continued from yesterday until today and vehicles were stuck in the traffic for hours at Kuliang.
The workers of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) are still clearing the debris that has blocked the entire portion of the road and many fear that if the rain persists then the situation will turn from bad to worse.
Recently, district police also urged the public to pay extra attention while travelling along the national highway at Narpuh from Sonapyrdi to Malidor until the stretch is clear.
