The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has demanded a magisterial inquiry to probe into the alleged irregularities in ration distribution by a fair price shop at Nongmisei.
The Misei area unit of the union, along with the district unit met with the West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner yesterday with a complaint that the Nongmisei fair price shop centre.
The union alleged overpricing, under-distribution, and denial of ration to beneficiaries.
The KSU stated that the Deputy Commissioner assured the delegation that he would take the matter seriously and initiate a thorough investigation.
