The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) NEHU unit today put the office of Vice Chancellor Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla under lock and key for not attending to their demands.
According to the union, the vice chancellor refused to pay heed to their demands ranging from transport services for students and lack of facilities at the hostels among others.
The members of the KSU had gone to the office to meet the VC to follow up on the demands but were refused an audience with him. This compelled them to lock his chamber and took a decision that they will no longer agree to meet her VC until he takes up the demands.
