Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee was today administered the oath of office as an additional judge of the High Court of Meghalaya.
The oath was administered by Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee.
Justice Bhattacharjee was born in Shillong on March 26, 1968 and completed his LLB from North-Eastern Hill University. He was called to the Bar and began practising as an advocate in 1993.
Prior to his elevation, he served as the Additional Advocate General of Meghalaya from September 2018 and, while serving in that role, was also designated as Senior Advocate in September 2021.
